This isn't a training catalogue.
The title of this page refers to a recurring question we get during engagements: when does the training actually happen? We don't run open-enrolment courses that anyone can book a seat in. What we run instead are structured sessions built directly into a brand's opening support, timed against that brand's actual construction schedule and staffing plan. The dates only make sense in the context of one specific rollout, so what follows below describes the typical sequence rather than a fixed public calendar.
How sessions are usually spaced around an opening.
| Session | Focus | Usual timing |
|---|---|---|
| Manual Walkthrough | Introducing the operations manual section by section to the new team. | Six to four weeks before opening |
| Recipe & Service Drill | Hands-on practice of standardised recipes and service sequences. | Three to two weeks before opening |
| Systems Run-Through | Point-of-sale, ordering and reporting workflows tested live. | One to two weeks before opening |
| Soft Opening Review | Debrief on the first days of real service, adjustments logged. | Within the first week of trading |
| Thirty-Day Check-In | Reviewing whether standards are holding once novelty wears off. | Around one month after opening |
This sequence repeats, with adjustments, across each of the first three openings a brand runs with our support. Timing shifts depending on construction delays, local hiring conditions and how much of the team has prior experience in the sector.
Training tied to a real opening sticks better than training tied to a calendar.
Generic training modules are easy to build and easy to ignore. A session that walks a team through the exact recipe they'll cook that same week, in the kitchen they'll actually work in, tends to be remembered under pressure in a way that a slide deck delivered months earlier isn't. That's the reasoning behind tying every session to a specific opening rather than running a standing course calendar.
If your brand is at the stage of asking when training would start, the more useful starting point is usually the diagnostic review described on our home page. From there, we can sketch an approximate schedule against your actual opening timeline once we understand where the documentation currently stands.
